Gwen sat atop her bed, her sulking face veiled by clumps of her wavy brunette hair. Despite staring at the clock for what felt like hours, the day wasn’t going by as fast as she wished it would. I lie awake at night and watch traffic lights outside my window shout RED into the peace quiet and occasional hazy rev of traffic.
